Sponsorship for Frank
I was sitting here watching the Iowa ARCA race and couldn't help to notice that Frank has no sponsors on his car. Frank, why don't you set up a Paypal account or something and some of us little guys can send you some money to help out. It could be our way of helping you out, since you have helped us. For you guys that don't know this the Kimmel's are very giving people. Not just this street stock deal but in the pits with ARCA and everywhere we go. A few years back I owned an ARCA car and I we were going to Salem. Neither my driver nor I had ever raced their. I sent Bill Kimmel an email and he sent me a set up sheet with everything on it-and he did not know me at all. We didn't make the race, but it was not from the set-up. We had other issues, but try to get someone else to do this for you, especially someone that successful. I think it would be great if we could all give back. If we could all send Frank even $5 or $10 each it would help out. It would all add up and show him some appreciation. How about it Frank set up a Paypal account and let us know. Great idea! I'm in, Frank and Bill have been great helping out with any questions, or issues on safety that we have had. I've been wanting to thank Frank for the help with safety issues that I had at Bristol, and for giving us the opportunity to race, so thanks Frank! Tim Eskridge |

Guys here is our chance to help someone that has helped all of us out in one form or another. It doesn't matter if you never run in one of Frank's races he has given street stock racers something to shoot for, he has given us credibility like we have never had before, he has given us recognition nationally like we have never received before. This makes sponsorship come easier and racing more fun. I know that most racers don't have $200 or $300 laying around, but even $5 or $10 will help Frank get to the next race. The way it looks now, he is racing out of pocket and we have all done that. It would be a shame for a champion like Frank Kimmel to have to park for a few races for lack of funds. Let's put together a grassroots effort to keep him in good equipment and running upfront for another championship where he belongs. This one could belong to all of us in a way. I think that would be pretty cool. Anyway that is 2 cents but let's do keep him running strong. |
