engines
this idea of franks has the potential of being a big deal..but...engine rules need to be tightened up..with compression rules and cost effictive parts allowances this is street stock..not 15/1 compression engines with stock parts allowances that are actually high preformance parts ram horn exaust manifolds are corvette pieces that are hard to come buy ..so lets buy speedway pieces that are $300.00 .cheap headers are $ 150.00 How about a compression rule...406 10.5/1 355..11.5/1 doesent matter how you get... why spend big bucks on angle milling heads,0 decking blocks when a 70 cc head with a little dome gets the same result cheaply The expenses for running these event are considerable..even though to run at these venues it is cheap....many of the entries have never been on these tracks so the desire is great to put together a car and run The novelty will soon wear off if all that can be shown is a mid pack finish or a destroyed car....100mph + will destroy your car It is quite apparant that there is a strong pool of 406 based cars from the Salem area...Frank cannot drastickly change the rules and pennilize this group, on the other hand he cannot allow the present stock rule mask allow a few serious big cin high compression engines to dominate.... lets have safe cars with a engine rule that a racer can buy a 400 hp engine for $ 4000.00 an be competitive |
