The Raptus - The Rapture Of The Church.

The Rapture 0f the Church has been known of for centuries as "The Raptus."

This is an open discussion forum that will concern Christians more than others.

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also". John 14:3.

The rapture of the church has been one of the most discussed and misunderstood subjects in the Bible, its place in yet unfulfilled bible prophecy. Eg. Is it pre, mid, post tribulation or just a wishful fable? Share your thoughts with fellow Christians on this controversial but very real biblical subject.

WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY

Man's Problem: SIN

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."(Romans 3:23).

"For the wages of sin is death........."
(Romans 6:23).

"....all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth." (Revelation 21:8).

God's Provision: THE CROSS

"...."Christ died "FOR" our sins accord to the scriptures; ....He was buried, and He rose again the third day...." (1 Corinthians 15:3 - 4).

"God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died "FOR" us." (Romans 5:8).

God's Gift: SALVATION

"....the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23).

Man's Responsibility: FAITH

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8, 9).

The Result: PEACE WITH GOD AND ACCESS

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:1, 2).

"In whom (Christ) we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" (Colossians 1:14).

The Assurance: SEALED

"In whom (Christ) ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also, after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,...." (Ephesians 1:13).

If you are convinced by God's word that you are a sinner, and that Christ died "FOR" your sins, you can be saved this very moment. Simply trust in the shed blood of Jesus Christ as the total, sufficient, and complete payment for your sins. God loves you and desires to save you. Receive His gift of salvation by trusting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour. Make your decision now and His life will be yours.

WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY

Before you can know where you are going when you die, you must first know what you are. Paul tells us we are made up of three parts.

I Thes. 5:23: And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are a spiritual being (I Cor 15:44). God has a Spirit the Holy Spirit.
We have a body (the outward shell) that falls off at death (II Cor 5:8). God has a body, the Lord Jesus Christ.
We have a soul (Mark 8:36). God has a soul, God the Father.
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

God made man in his own image (Genesis 1:26). God made man out of the dust of the ground (the body). He breathed into him the breath of life (the spirit), and he became a living soul (the soul).

Jesus when he died on the cross, He said, “Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit,” (Luke 23:46). The spirit went up, it went into heaven. His body went to the grave or the tomb of Joseph. His soul went right down through hell but was not left there (Acts 2:27-31) but went to a place were the Old Testament’s Saints were waiting for the perfect sacrifice. There was a place called hell where all the lost people went and there was a place for the ones that did what God told them to do called parades or Abraham’s bosom (Luke 16:19-25).

Eph 2:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9: (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10: He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Jesus takes the ones that were in Abraham’s bosom to heaven because now their salvation was complete (Matt 27:52-53). God remitted sins all through the Old Testament, but they were not redeemed (Heb 10:4; Ex 34:6-7). A saved person on this side of the cross dies; he is absent from the body and present wit the Lord (II Cor 5:8). People who believe that there is no hell but believe they just go to grave, don’t believe what the apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 1:23 to depart, and to be with Christ is far better. The unsaved person this side of the cross dies, where does he go? He can’t go to heaven because he has not believed that Christ died for his sins (I Cor 15:1-4). He can’t go to Abraham’s bosom because it is empty. He can’t go to purgatory because there isn’t any purgatory. He goes straight too hell (Luke 16:23; Mark 9:44, 46, 48; Matt 25:41). He stays in hell until the great white throne judgment when death and hell is delivered up and judged and then cast into the lake of fire (Rev 20:13; 20:15).

Rev 14: 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

How could the unsaved be in the grave if they were delivered up out of hell?

The saved person that goes to be with the Lord when he dies must also be judged but not at the same place or time as the unsaved. He will be judged at the Judgment seat of Christ not for his sins but for the things done in the body where they are good or bad (I Cor 3:12-15; II Cor 5:10). After the judgment seat of Christ, rewards will be given for the good things he has done and he will receive a body fashioned like unto his glorious body (Phil 3:21).
