The Raptus - The Rapture Of The Church.

The Rapture 0f the Church has been known of for centuries as "The Raptus."

This is an open discussion forum that will concern Christians more than others.

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also". John 14:3.

The rapture of the church has been one of the most discussed and misunderstood subjects in the Bible, its place in yet unfulfilled bible prophecy. Eg. Is it pre, mid, post tribulation or just a wishful fable? Share your thoughts with fellow Christians on this controversial but very real biblical subject.

They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. John 8:39

He is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Romans 2:29

You are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; You are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 9:4-5

And the books were opened. Revelation 20:12

Hi Joyce.
Not that I am quite sure just what you are trying to get across by the noting of certain texts but I did notice your "Definitely Post Tribe." Its a bit like an old friend said once we are all going to have our own ideas or understanding of the scriptures, they are good to share as they lend to hopefully better understanding. Revelation 4:1 "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up here, and I will show you things which must be hereafter. What I find interesting in this verse is the first few words John uses;" "After this I looked." The question I myself asked was, after what? After the church age was all I could come up with as Jesus in the previous verses is dealing with the church. A close examination of Revelation chap's 4 and 5 would seem to clearly tend to describe church bring in heaven. As Abraham said in Gen. 18:25. "That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?" I tend to agree with Abraham that our heavenly Father will not judge the church who loves Him with those who hate Him.
Again thanks for your thoughts.
Far better to be out of here when judgment falls than to be here; What say you?
God Bless Dearly.

Re: Deffinately Post Trib

I relize the moderators position in stating that there are many opinions on the tribulation. There are only one set of truths though. It is what Gods Word calls doctrine. Gods word is of no private interpretation. This is where many error from the truth in creating opinons based apon a lack of learning to meet with Gods appoval. We are told to commit ourself to sound doctrine. I recently listened to a well known radio theologian proudly patting himself on the back for being the only person who was publically procaiming that the rapture would not occur until the second half of the tribulation. Proclaim it all he wants, its just not what the word of God teaches. We are definately not in or passed the tribulation period either. These false doctrines that a few individuals who sometimes do gather a few followers are plain and simply foolish and unlearned attempts by people to glorify themselves and/or create contention among the brotherhood. I recommend to all, that to discover the truth, first look inside to see if you have been born again. The Bible teaches that the natural man cannot know the secret things of God. I personally believe that this is the reason for many of the contentious issues, that many of us christians must deal with, really exist.
So Joyce, I would hope that if you are having problems with getting Gods word correct, please seek out a good fundimentalist, Baptist Church, and listen for Gods direction. Study to show yourself approved unto God. And remmember, there are many antichrists who are in the world today, put here to lead people astray. God Bless, and w/ our prayers, Jimmy

Hi Jimmy.
I must agree with you regarding false teaches etc, after all we are told by Jesus Himself that many would come in the last days and boy we do not have to go far to find one these days. I believe the Bible is to be read as it is written after all it is the full council of God, His very Word.
God Bless.
Bob.
