'New' videos, Bati, Cani & Diego to play in Showbol tournament
First of all there's a clip at TN of an interview with Diego Maradona and Caniggia, it says together with Bati, they will play at the Showbol tournament. Can someone tell us what this is about or when the event will take place or is it over? The video was posted on Sept 9. There's also a clip of Bati playing polo and an interview after that, this was back in January I think, someone please tell us roughly what he said. |

hola chicos es solo un rumor que bati formaria parte de este equipo ya que esta operado y aun sigue con una renguera que no lo deja caminar bien. lo cierto que la información dice que en octubre jugarian en el interior del pais. el showbol es un parido de futbol de dos tiempos de 30 minutos donde en ningun momento la pelota sale afuera de la cancha lo que siempre choca con los carteles de publicidad y la cancha es mucho mas pequeña. es como un metegol humano. las selecciones estan formadas por jugadores retirados del profesionalismo. la verdad y no creo que gabriel juegue solo acompañara al equipo porque tiene muchos amigos y este torneo se juega entre selecciones y viajan mucho cosa que bati ha dicho estar cansado y su estado fisico le impide jugar a la pelota con sus hijos. y este deporte es muy exigente ya que no permite a los jugadores parar de correr en ningun momento. espero qeu les sirva.... saludos |

El acto, en vísperas del Día del Maestro, se realizó en el Auditorio de la Fundación Santander Río y contó con la presencia de autoridades educativas y religiosas. Los galardonados fueron Osvaldo Canziani, científico experto en cambio climático y co-premio Nobel de la Paz 2007; el sacerdote Sigfrido "Chifri" Moroder, de la parroquia Santa Rita, en la puna salteña, y el futbolista Gabriel Batistuta. También recibieron ese reconocimiento el "Hogar evangélico el Alba", Antonia Gallart, especialista en educación e investigadora social; el periodista Alfredo Leuco, el maestro Jorge Fernández y la hermana Irene, de la Comunidad Dominica en Dock Sud. El vicario episcopal de Educación, presbítero Juan Torrella, explicó que los premios se crearon con motivo del Jubileo del año 2000 para "revalorizar la figura del maestro en la sociedad actual". Las estatuillas consisten en una cruz y un olivo, símbolo de la paz en todas las religiones y culturas. |

Awww that's a shame.  It is SO frustrating to not understand the language, both what is being said in the interviews AND what has been written!  Ahhh well, maybe one day... hey Jas??? And THANKS for the videos!

as what i know is there had a tournament at cancun, mexico on 19 sept 2008. According to that news Cani, Almeyda and also Maradona all will be there. Does anyone knowing this? And got any latest new about this? El también ex portero del club mexicano América, confirmó a Maradona en ese espectáculo en el que estará junto a otros ex jugadores argentinos que enfrentarán a un combinado mexicano. El ex jugador del Nápoles estará acompañado entre otros, según lo declarado previamente por Zelada, por ex futbolistas argentinos del pasado como Alejandro Mancusso, Claudio Caniggia, Matías Almeyda y el ex cancerbero, Sergio Goycoechea.
