Hi Sherzod!
Well, that certainly is sensational news! It would be an exciting time for all Uzbekistan football followers, that is for sure.
It sounds like quite an incredible deal - a three or six month contract? Never heard of anything like this before (unless Barcelona are going to loan him to you for that period, with him still being their player?). I hope it comes true because he would surely be a roaring success over there, if he is motivated to do the best job he can.

Re: Eto'o to Uzbekistan, what do you think? :)

Sherzod,

Why in the world would Eto'o would end up in a dump like UUZZBEKISTAN ?? It would be like going to the mean streets of say "Mazar a Sharif" Afghanistan.

Keep dreaming. Uzbekistan futbol is a waste much like all of Asian football except for the J and K leagues.

Eto'o will be in Europe a few more years and then come to America or Mexico to finish his career.

Fat chance fruity.

Re: Eto'o to Uzbekistan, what do you think? :)

No need for comments like that Mario. What do you know about football in Uzbekistan?
I'll bet it's full of players and supporters who have a genuine love for the game, rather than the greedy, self-obsessed babies we have playing top level European leagues, which is an advantage for Uzbekistan in my books.

Re: Eto'o to Uzbekistan, what do you think? :)

Richie,

I do not know anything about Uzbek futbol except that they play in a weak federation in Asia. Who are there main competitors ? Cricket nations like India or Pakistan. Maybe 10 or 15 years from now a player may emerge from there and play in the greedy leagues.

Forza Milan !

Re: Eto'o to Uzbekistan, what do you think? :)

Ok fair enough Mario, we know that Uzbekistan football is probably not of a very high quality, but that doesn't make it any less worthwhile. And there was no need to be offensive and call the place a dump!

Re: Eto'o to Uzbekistan, what do you think? :)

Mario, there isn't any need to call some nations "duump"... I agree it would be a waste for a world class footballer to go play in an undeveloped league especially at his peak.
But such strong comments weren't needed. I have many friends from there and they are all nice people and I am sure that it is a nice place as well.

Karun,

Did you read my last comment to Richie ? I said I was sorry, so please be so kind to cut me some slack, OK.

Anyway I just saw Eto'o play with Barca last night on TV vs Chivas de Guadelajara of Mexico in Chicago and he scored two goals. Barca won 5-2 and they look great.

Re: Eto'o to Uzbekistan, what do you think? :)

Mario , Sorry for pinpointing it again ...
Ya ! I saw the high light. they make a great combination.. This time they can give a very tough competition to real madrid... I feel bad for valencia ... they are a good team and have been consistant but are now in financial crisis...
Do you think Atlantico Madrid will qualify for C.L. ? They got a tough draw in the playoff..

Re: Eto'o to Uzbekistan, what do you think? :)

Karun,

Its all good with me. I think Atletico Madrid will be competetive ,but as the long season winds down later in 2009 I beleive it will be either Real Madrid or Barcelona winning la liga. I hope my team AC MILAN returns to greatness and wins the Serie A scudetto, Coppa Italia and the Coppa UEFA this season now that they have Ronaldinho, Kaka, Pato, Zambrotta, Pirlo, Gattuso, Nesta, Maldini, Inzaghi, Flamini, Seedorf, and whomever else on that team all at their disposal. We'll see.
My predictions for 2008-2009 champions.
In Spain: Real Madrid
In England: Manchester United
In Portugal: Benfica
In Italia: AC MILAN
In France: Lyon
In Germany: Bayern Munich
In Scotland: Celtic
In Holland: Ajax

Champions League and Coppa UEFA : No prediction, let them all duke it out.

World Cup 2010 Italia or USA
