Why Argentina dropped 6 th place?
Did you see FIFA World Ranking? I cant understand why Argentina is underneath of Brazil? At June Argentina did not lose, but Brazil Lost 2 games...And now why Brazil is above on argentina? Who can explain that to me? |

Soltan as Dar rightly puts it he need not hear the fifa rankings as they are false.Tell me how in God's name Italy is number 2 and Germany number 3 .I only waiting for 2010 to give all those european sides a piece of our minds.O and another think Argentina is not a European side NOOOOO hence they cannot take part in the tournament only if they could they would win every single Euro Cup I hate you FIFA.I was in tears last night when i heard we were sixth thank you Dar for telling me if it wasn't for your reassurance that Fifa is crap I would be still in tears.Why is it that we Argies have to suffer at the hands of Fifa ?You are sooo right Soltan about Brazil only dropping two and they lost two games and we dropping five  . I don't even want to think about itWe will be Number 1 next two months when we win Olympic Gold and the world cup in 2010.Let Spain revel in their shortlived glory at the top.We coming back to haunt them.Blasted Fifa.

Well they have a complicated method of applying the points....brazil got more points for a draw against us because we were ranked above them...u get more points for beating the team above you....Argentina was already on top and didn't win there last 2 games ..and there mere draws against teams below them would make dem not gain alot of points. As well FIFA has different points for differnt types of games, e.g cups and WC qualifying n friendlies all are rated differently.... In the end italy beat france that earned them some points. I just don't think the points system are really accurate....like my friend said in the earlier thread results count not rankings...there are a few teams in the world that could beat us...on thier day...spain, portugal, brazil, holland and even germany...I don't think we are superior to them as we were in the past...we have a new exicting but inexperienced side...lets hope messi n aguero n co. can work the magic....I hope we win the olympics and as u say bri..qualify for confeds...if is possible. Go Argies!!!!

The ranking should be based on 1. Result 2. Consistency 3. Trophies won 4. How Well you play the game then only it will be fair |

Daryl But Argentina scored more points than Brazil?I calculated on FIFA.com, last month Argentina has scored more points than Brazil but now Brazil above |

Soltan..Sorry for the late response I honestly have no idea how Argie would have gotten more points from that game, unless fifa has incorporated some new system to award more points for a visiting team, as Argie were in that game. There are soo many permutations that even I am not sure what could be the reason. I havn't gotten a chance to verify that Argentina got more points, I'll take your word for it..In the end..a drop of 5 places is still quite unbelievable...and not truly refective...We should also remember that Italy,Spain and Germany all played at least 4 competitive games and the latter 2 teams six games. Which meant lots of points for em... Daryl

The football governing body "FIFA" always have had a kind of rift, a bias to be appropriate for a word against the Argentines, believe it or not. Who cares though ? BTW, nice to be posting and how are you all ? |

Hola Daryl. A pleasing feeling always to communicate with you amigo. Ja, well, i'm ashamed my next post comes too late for your liking but then it's better to be late than never.  We won the gold in Beiging already. Now, the thing i want is unique - Someting never achieved - A hatrick of gold in olympics comes 2012. Optimism? Ja ! On a objective note, i safely sleep regarding our progress. Only Mascherano was there from that 2004 Athens party.
