Even more website reform
I have recieved feedback regarding the website. Apparently there is demand for directly editable members pages to make a comeback. There really is not enough room in the directory to support something like this, but I have an idea. I can change the website to use frames. This means nothing really to you guys, but what it will do is make the body section (the light gray area) of the website about to link to anything. We can even run other webpages within it. In this way we can outsource member pages to something else, like a google or yahoo group for instance, and still have them be "on" the website. You won't have to play with HTML, and you will get all the features of whatever service you want. It also won't impact our directory space. If anyone supports this idea or has suggestions for a member page running service, please post them. If you are in favor of this, bear in mind I won't be able to make the frame conversion until December, I'm quite busy this month. Until then, let's throw the idea around and make a plan.

The idea expanded
How about blogs? Each member can have a blog account. That would be very easy to do. You can write whatever, and post pictures and other media content to your hearts content. I can integrate them into the website very easily, and each account will have its own login. Plus, you guys can comment on the entries. Ideas and comments?

Rules of vote
This measure will need a 2/3 popular vote of active club members to pass. That means 4 yes votes will be needed for success. Currently I vote in favor of this resolution. We need three more.

Re: Even more website reform
I vote in favor, mostly because I suggested it. Sorry for taking so long to post this, but for various reasons I haven't checked the forum. By the way... did you know that if you type in Schlorgadorb you'll get exactly one listing on google? maybe 2 now, but I think thats cool. Yay! my screen name is unique |

More on this
Two in favor. I should note that a blog service would have to be selected for this project. The most obvious choice would be blogger.com, which is owned by google. If you have a google account, then I think you already have access to this. Like anything from google, it's really easy to use and has well developed features. Other oprions could be tripod, which also offers blog accounts, and I think they wouldn't mind the framing since they also provide us with webspace. Ultimately though, it doesn't matter what service each individual chooses for a member page. I can frame up anything. However, I'm not making it unless people use it. So post your votes and make it happen!

Poll largely completed
Last night I polled three more that I was contacting personally. All three informed that they do forsee themselves using a personal blog space if it was available. All that remains is Craig, but considering his distance I doubt he will be very obligated to use it. Therefore, the measure has failed - but I'm willing to compromise. In December I'll put up a single frame page. Within that frame page will be a sub-nav bar that will offer connections to whatever outsourced member created content may be out there. It will link to Andy's deviant art gallery, whatever member page Andrew creates, and my blog- which admittedly will probably have little to do with gaming and be mostly philisophical stuff. This won't be member's pages, but it will be a kind of member content hub- like a links page but better because it will have frames and therefore still have this website's style and navigation tools. That appears to be the final word on all of this. So Andrew, if you want a member page you will have to make it somewhere else and send me the URL. We'll revist this in December.

Browser issues
Speaking of reform, I just opened this website with Mozilla Firefox and discovered that the website has major compatibility issues. Do any of you notice anything weird when you open the website with a browser other than internet explorer? just curious.
