Next Convention Season
I'm just curious what kinds of games we have in the works for next season. I know we have Castle Risk, and possibly a very large version of it. I hope to get some watered down rules for the boat thing and possibly run that at some convention. Of course I have Aerodrome planned for SacCon, and this time it will be a bit more interesting. Anyone else got something good?

Re: Next Convention Season
I was considering running something - I'm not sure what, though. I just want to get in for free :) |

No Kidding
I can't jusitfy to spend 40 dollars on an entry fee anymore. Especially since I have so many possible games to run. I'm working on a historical game right now so I'll have something for "The Shield." Just curious, which con(s) are you planning on attending next year? Usually we only see you for Conquest SF. We have lots of games that can be run. If you want to do something easy try a good board game. It doesn't even have to be a crazy Eurogame. I was pretty excited about that Monopoly tournament last time, but I was playing WFB. Dude... Stratego tournament. Awesome. |

Re: Next Convention Season
I'm kind of lazy and like playing in other people's games, so I'll just stick with Monster Dice. It is very easy and fits nicely in the shoebox. Good luck with all your complicated new games, Joel. People like you make conventions exciting with new, awesome games. I'm just there for an easy 2 hour game any idiot can play. In fact an idiot would love the bright colors and fun shapes. Yay for a stupid fun game!

Games are great
I think your game is ideal for a convention. I've learned a good game needs really easy rules because nobody really wants to learn a lot of complicated stuff for a three hour game. The most important aspect that seems to make a convention game fun is that it is an incredible visual spectacle. If every little thing is played out with cool doodads, colors, and markers, it's really nice. I'm doing what I can to make all my games like that. I think your game already achieves it.
