Pirates of the Spanish Main
I'm making campaign rules for this awesome game to make it even awesomeer. Maybe then we'll actually play it. I'll be bringing that wherever we next meet.

Re: Pirates of the Spanish Main
That's a nifty idea. The game lends itself well to a campaign since the sheer number of vessels anyone has is immense. I just replicated some islands, reefs, and such cards so now they are many. I was reading the rules for reefs, sargasso, and fog banks, and I can't see the purpose in any of them except for fog banks. The movement rules are not rigid enough for any of them to present a real threat. The fog bank is useful since it can be a place to hide. Other than that, the others just damage your vessel with no offered helpful return.
I would like to play and justify the 30 dollars or so I've spent on this game.
Why is down a sad thing? What if it's prices? Or radiation levels?

Re: Pirates of the Spanish Main
well thats all cool then, I've got something worked up. I repeated the rules for all the random crewmembers that aren't anyone in specific, with prices, and all that stuff, so that you don't have to actually have the crew to have one. I think that will open some doors, because Captains are just so bloody useful. This way it allows for much more fairness without compromising the balance the game already supposedly has.
