The Alzheimer's Forum
It's very difficult to have a family member or a close friend suffer from an incurable disease like Alzheimer’s. It's hard to know just what to say sometimes, how to help them, how to be with them. What helps, though, is being willing to risk getting close enough to them to really understand what it means to have the illness. This takes courage. But if we are willing to do this we make ourselves more available to the person -- we can walk in their shoes, and in doing so, we open ourselves to the possibility of discovering those precious and intimate moments of closeness and connectedness that make our lives truly meaningful.
Welcome to an important part of your journey of discovery about Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer’s Forum has been designed to help connect with others about Alzheimer’s – to share information and expertise, to inspire hope, and to build faith that a greater sense of community and fellowship can help all of us better understand and deal with this devastating illness.
