What is Morgawr?
Morgawr is a sea monster off the coast of either Scotland or England. I'm not really sure what it is. I have a book that talks about it, but it is currently unavalible at this time.

I have not researched on it, but I do not think it was any species of marine reptile. Maybe some type of mammal.
How do we know that picture of the sea serpent known as Caddy, pulled from a dead sperm whale's stomach, wasn't a hoax?
528 visitor(s) thought this was helpful. Do you?
That is a tough question. Some reasons why it might be real are:
1.) The photographic negatives have been preserved.
2.) The photograph was found in a folder of 38 photos in the Vancouver Maritime Museum. Hoaxers would probably not do it that way.
3.) The photograph’s settings seem to concur the fact that it was taken at a whaling station, as the men said.
4.) The creature matches some of the reported sightings of Caddy.
Have plesiosaurs been proven not extinct yet?
612 visitor(s) thought this was helpful. Do you?
No, plesiosaurs have not been proven to be living. However, sightings persist.
1.)Could this mean that pliosaurs may not be extinct?
2.)What is the Kodiak Dinosaur?
3.)If proven not extinct, could the pliosaur be declared an endangered species?
4.)How does Burnham know it was a pliosaur he found?
5.)Could some of these presumed extinct reptiles be responsible for some lake monster sightings?
497 visitor(s) thought this was helpful. Do you?
1.) Of course Burnham's discovery could mean that pliosaurs are not extinct.
2.) I'm not sure if this is what you are talking about, but fishermen in Kodiak, Alaska watched a 200 foot long "plesiosaur" swim through their radar screen.
3.) That is probably correct.
4.) The neck was thick and short, it had a large head and jaws, and very large flippers. Plesiosaurs are just the opposite.
5.) Yes, some lake monsers are probably marine reptiles.

We really don't know much about plesiosaurs, because one hasn't been captured alive yet. It appears though from reports that they have acute hearing. For more info about plesiosaurs you can visit plesiosauria.com
